Commissioned by the Department of Energy for their children's
educational website, this animated tutorial sought to teach kids
about the basics of atoms and energy. It was also the last-ditch
effort of our brave little company to keep from going The Way of
the Dot-com like all the others. The piece came out beautifully,
but it did not save us from extinction. C'est la web.
My task was to bring an atom to life and make him fly around
and interact with the users, guiding them through the site. I've
been told by certain scientifically-minded people that he's not
very realistic, and that no atom would have that many protons
and neutrons in it. I figure that must be why I'm not a scientist.
