Another portrait illustrated from a favorite family photograph, circa 1975. This one I chose to draw impressionist-style, creating the entire piece in tiny little circles over several different layers of color. The original photo is of my younger brother and our uncle, taken during an early impromptu guitar lesson, one of the first of many over the coming years. It touched me especially because it provides a rare peek at the beginning of a special friendship which was slowly forged through the shared love of music - one that, happily, continues to this day.
